M.O.D.O.K. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) is a supervillain appearing in Marvel Comics, first appearing in *Tales of Suspense* #94 (October 1967).
Originally George Tarleton, a technician for Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.), he was subjected to a mutagenic process to enhance his intelligence for scientific research. The experiment succeeded but caused severe physical mutations. His head grew grotesquely large to accommodate his increased brain capacity, rendering his body practically useless.
As M.O.D.O.K., Tarleton possesses vast intellect, psychic abilities, and advanced technological weaponry, often controlling a specialized hoverchair for mobility and combat. He is a formidable opponent, frequently clashing with heroes such as Captain America and the Avengers.
